INTERVIEW

Interview with teachers from our school who were in Turkey

Wera:  Good morning. Can I have an interview with you, please? I have some questions about your trip to Turkey.
The first question is: How long have you travelled to Turkey?
Teacher 1: It was a very long journey. We set off at 5 a.m. and changed planes in Antalya in Turkey. We arrived at the hotel at 2 or 3 a.m. We were exhausted.
Teacher 2We have travelled almost 24 hours!
Teacher 3: We have travelled 22 hours to Gazipasa in Turkey.

Wera: Can you name some places in Turkey, where you've been? Maybe have you got your favourite one?
Teacher 1: We visited Dim Cave-a cave where we admired stalactites and stalagmites. I loved an aquarium in Antalya. I saw many unique fish.
Teacher 2My favourite places: caves, Castle of Alanya and Antalya Aquarium.
Teacher 3: Antalya Aquarium, Dim Cave, Dim River, Red Tower in Alanya, Castle of Alanya, Minicity in Antalya, Museum of Alanya, Aspendos Theatre, ancient city Selius.

Wera: What kind of memory can you share with us?
Teacher 1:
Teacher 2 Amazing Turkish landscapes!
Teacher 3: Water in the sea is very salt, sea turtles are beautiful, beaches are excellent, Turkey is a beautiful country and people are very hospitable.

Wera: What can you say about Turkish culture? Is it different from Polish?
Teacher 1:
Teacher 2Yes, it's different.
Teacher 3: Turkish culture is different from Polish. People love Ataturk. He was their political leader and all Turkish people love him very much. His photos and pictures are everywhere. In every place people drink Turkish tea. It is very delicious. I like it.

Wera: Which situation surprised you the most? ( in a culture, tradition)
Teacher 1:
Teacher 2There is a high column with four big loudspeakers on every mosques. The men prays (it's a very specific kind of music) every morning (at 5 o'clock!)
Teacher 3: Every day five times a day you can hear loud voice from mosque in all town/city because people can pray five times a day, if they want.

Wera: What kind of food is the most popular in Turkey? Have you tried some traditional food?
Teacher 1:
Teacher 2 Turkish people drink very strong tea. One of  desserts is baklava. It's made either with pistachio or walnut. Delicious!
Teacher 3: The most popular is chicken, fish (trout) and kebab. I have tried all kinds of traditional food. Turkish people prepare very delicious meals. Their sweets are very sweet.

Wera: Do you think, will you come back to Turkey one day?
Teacher 1:
Teacher 2 I wish . . .
Teacher 3: I hope I will go to Turkey once again. I have some close friends in this country.

Wera:  What have you brought from Turkey?
Teacher 1:
Teacher 2 A lot of memories:)
Teacher 3: I have brought many photos, Turkish halva, some sweets and magnets with beautiful views.
